Dear Michael,
Just a quick note to say thank you so so much for such a wonderful evening on Thursday at The Ritz - it was without doubt one of the most elegant parties I have been to (and working in charity events, I have been to quite a few over the years). Delightful company and delicious (and very plentiful) canapés made the evening great fun.
For Starlight, I made some new friends, including the general manager of The Ritz, Lindi Mngaza and her colleague as well your great friends Sanjeev and Yasmine... It was wonderful to meet your amazing mother and your godmother too - what inspiring women.
I have also highlighted Starlight's work to many people who can help recommend children for wishes, including your kind doctor friend Helen who treats children and Yasmine's youth centre might benefit too from Starlight wishes.
Thank you again for the opportunity to highlight starlight’s work and for your very kind invitation Michael. It would be great to catch up again at some point.

I wanted to write you this brief e-mail to thank you very much for a fantastic evening last night. I thought the venue, the food, the drinks and the company were magnificent and the event will stay in my memory for a very long time.
I was delighted to meet your mother... even if she did greet me with the words "oh you're Tim, I've heard a lot about you!". The whole night was a huge success and you deserve to be very proud of the party you threw for everyone.
