Reception at The Ritz, London, June 2008

MI & Associates held its first corporate reception in June 2008 in the wonderful surroundings of the William Kent House at The Ritz, London.

The reception was organised by Lady Elizabeth Anson of Party Planners, one of the leading Society Event organisers in London. The staff at The Ritz were magnificent. All through the evening The Ritz staff showcased their superb standard of service and the amazing culinary delights which were served with terrific applomb and great style. The charity we invited to attend the reception was the Starlight Children’s Foundation who provide much sought after, heart warming experiences for very sick and terminally ill children. A wonderful Charity.

Guests included the Chairman of Nigeria’s leading Investment Bank, the Managing directors of several Investment Banks, the Senior Managing Partners of several City of London law firms, Founder owners of hotel and leisure companies, Managing directors of several Private Banks and Wealth Management firms from London and Geneva, Directors of global luxury brand companies, senior directors of global property firms.

Dear Michael,

Just a quick note to say thank you so so much for such a wonderful evening on Thursday at The Ritz – it was without doubt one of the most elegant parties I have been to (and working in charity events, I have been to quite a few over the years). Delightful company and delicious (and very plentiful) canapés made the evening great fun.

For Starlight, I made some new friends, including the general manager of The Ritz, Lindi Mngaza and her colleague as well your great friends Sanjeev and Yasmine… It was wonderful to meet your amazing mother and your godmother too – what inspiring women.

I have also highlighted Starlight’s work to many people who can help recommend children for wishes, including your kind doctor friend Helen who treats children and Yasmine’s youth centre might benefit too from Starlight wishes.

Thank you again for the opportunity to highlight starlight’s work and for your very kind invitation Michael. It would be great to catch up again at some point.

Dear Michael,

I wanted to write you this brief e-mail to thank you very much for a fantastic evening last night. I thought the venue, the food, the drinks and the company were magnificent and the event will stay in my memory for a very long time.

I was delighted to meet your mother… even if she did greet me with the words “oh you’re Tim, I’ve heard a lot about you!”. The whole night was a huge success and you deserve to be very proud of the party you threw for everyone.

I look forward to catching up with you again soon and thank you once more for including me in such a special evening.
